Congdon
Providence, RI
Parker Construction completely renovated this College Hill colonial seeking to maximize its unmatched views of the Providence cityscape.
With this in mind, the nineteenth century home was gutted and entirely redone, opening up much of the first floor, creating clear sightlines throughout. Indeed, windows feature heavily in this home, particularly on the west side where the Rhode Island statehouse is prominently visible. Upstairs, the master bedroom boasts one hundred eighty degree views of the Providence skyline.
While outdoor space in the city is often scarce, Parker Construction maximized this home’s grounds for both utility and comfort. Out back the driveway has been reappointed to be more accommodating in a neighborhood where parking is at a premium. A raised deck opens off the kitchen providing outdoor living space; it is covered by an open slat-style canopy under which the sunsets can be enjoyed.
