The latest addition to this prominent Newport property is this innovative library with a nympheaum on the lower level and connecting water feature outside. Delicate shell mosaics (Christa's South Seashells) decorate the grotto and is complemented by ornate tile and stone throughout the level; upstairs is the library which features an elegant rail system and bronze details (Buccacio Studios); outside, the rill is embellished with whimsical statues that tie-in with the property's other follies. Our first in this series is this new construction on the south shore: an open and airy summer home complemented by sweeping views of Buzzard’s Bay. 

As has become an annual tradition Parker Construction was well represented at the Providence Preservation Society's Winter Bash on March 3rd. 

Held at the ALCO complex, this years theme was "Glitz & Glamour: A Speakeasy Affair.

The Blue Garden is featured in the new Boston Design Guide's feature Glorious Gardens, highlighting the historic importance, delicate design, and sustainability of the exquisite Newport garden. See the full article here.

Find Parker Construction in the upcoming Boston Design Guide!

This past weekend Parker Construction participated in this year’s Canstruction® Providence competition. PCCI’s Dave Sachs and Mike Houle joined DBVW Architects, Odeh Engineers, and Herrick & White Architectural Millworkers at Providence Place in support of Rhode Island Community Food Bank. Their nautical design won both "Best Use of Labels" and took home the overall “Jurors Favorite” award! 

All of the Canstruction® designs can be seen at Providence Place until March 26, at which time all of the canned goods will be donated to the RI Community Food Bank.
