Parker Construction renovated this 1835 Greek revival home to customize it to the new owner’s modern taste while keeping the home historic integrity in tact.
The kitchen was redesigned to be a kitchen and living room area with a projection screen, hidden by a soffit, that can be lowered for friends’ and family’s entertainment. Historic details were honored in the kitchen as well; Parker Construction was able to replicate the existing counter top, as well as find matching tile to do patch work.
The third floor was renovated into social gathering area. The entire floor was opened up to be spacious by removing several walls that enclosed the space into smaller rooms. A teak and holly bar was constructed with a functioning soda gun that the home owner loves, “it’s a great idea and kids love it.” The third floor also has a billiard room encouraging guests to try their skill.
The downstairs powderoom, master bath and home office, were all completely gutted and rebuilt by Parker Construction giving the home new life. As the owner praised, “thanks again to you and your team for such a fantastic job. You have made [our home] better than it has ever been, since it was built in 1835!”
